Bud Hunton
Bud Hunton is an accomplished author, educator, and medical professional whose distinguished career spans service in the U.S. Navy, healthcare administration, and higher education. His writing career began shortly after his retirement from the Navy in 1975, following an extensive tenure as a Navy Hospital Corpsman and Physician’s Assistant. During his military service, he practiced medicine aboard naval vessels and at shore-based hospitals, where he also served as a Radiographer (X-Ray Technologist) and department manager.
After completing his military service, Mr. Hunton transitioned to civilian healthcare, holding directorial positions in hospitals across Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. While serving as a department director at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, he began contributing a monthly column to Advance Magazine (Valley Forge, PA), writing on professional topics he also presented at national conferences and conventions.
His expertise and dedication to medical education led to his recruitment by Sinclair Community College, where he served as an instructor for twenty-two years. During his tenure, he taught Basic and Advanced Medical Terminology as well as Introduction to Computers, influencing countless students entering the allied health professions. Recognizing his subject matter expertise, McGraw Hill Publishers invited him to collaborate on editing and authoring several medical textbooks, including Basic Medical Terminology, which has been used as a course text at Sinclair College.

The Autobiography of Bud W. Hunton: Part 1: Looking Back At Me - Book Trailer
Looking back at me is the true story of a young man’s experience growing up on a small farm in rural Ohio in the 1940’s. His home consisted of a log cabin that had been converted into a single-family home without electricity, water or indoor plumbing. His early life was chaotic and unstable with fear of being placed in a foster home. Bud’s teen years were worrisome for both him and his parents who would eventually sign the documents to enlist in the navy at 17 years old. This will be Bud’s tenth and final book that will highlight how to succeed in life when you have an adequate support system.
